  • Bedford Computing was founded in 1982 by Robert Lee and Michael Lee as an importer and retailer of personal computer hardware and has since grown to its current size of over $10 million in 1999.  The company has traditionally been a systems integrator and an IT infrastructure developer and developed the Asuka brand of high quality desktop and server computers.   The company serves as a one-stop solution provider for high quality hardware, software, networking and support services.  Its industry partners include Compaq, IBM, Hewlett Packard, Toshiba and Computer Associates.

  • Bedford Computing has expanded into professional services/consulting, with a focus on supporting IT planning and management, and into software development, with a focus on developing web-enabled application solutions that are portable across multi-vendor platforms.   An attractive feature of these value-added offerings is that they combine hardware, software and professional service opportunities that play towards the company’s established strengths in the hardware field and further develop the solution and professional service expertise.

  • Bedford Computing's major areas of focus for the upcoming year in the National Capital Region is the active promotion of the company's new ISP services which will grow to include e-commerce solutions for business-to-business and business-to-enduser applications.   A significant portion of the company’s existing private sector customer base has plans to implement e-commerce solutions and have expressed interest in these new offerings from the company.

  • Bedford Computing client base includes the federal, provincial, regional and municipal governments.   Other public sector clients include most of the educational institutions in the National Capital Region.   The company has also proven to be flexible and responsive to its private sector clients which include many of the National Capital Region's high profile high technology companies, multinational Fortune 500 firms, computer consultants as well as SOHO organizations and individuals.
